Bee Stings...

Once upon a time in the city of 1000 gardens there lived a young boy full of life and zest and like most of the dwellers he started his day visiting the beautiful gardens that punctuated all the roads and streets of this city...The gardens in whose bosoms lived beautiful flowers and in whose skies chirped the early birds were not only a delight to the eye but also a boon to the health and the soul...

But a thorn lies where the flower lives. The young boy suffered from a peculiar problem due to his daily visit to these gardens...Every day he came back home with a bee sting on his tongue that would cause excruciating pain and strife the whole day...

He tried different gardens and different times of the day for his visit but unfortunately would always come back with the sting irrespective...

Finally he gave up and went to meet a famous Yogi for advice, who on listening to his concern smiled gently and gave him a few sweetmeats asking him to chew on them while he roamed around in the garden...adding that the aroma of the sweatmeets will repel the bees...

The boy tried the remedy and to his great relief it worked and the bees did not bother him any more....

So, he went to  the Yogi to express his gratitude for the fantastic remedy...The Yogi gave him some more magic sweets along with the customary blessings...

After the little boy had left, one of Yogi's disciples who had witnessed the whole event came up to him rather startled..."But those were just ordinary mints Prabhu...How did they help the child?"

The yogi with the most generous smiles answered, "You are right son, what I gave him were ordinary mints, but that was the only way to save his suffering tongue",

"Why Prabhu?"

"Son, The problem is that we humans dont know when to keep ours mouths shut and then end up blaming the poor bees for stinging our tongues"...
